Dr. Seuss Day

It’s National Read Across America Day (Dr. Seuss Day) 2014!

Patrick wanted to participate in the celebration at school. We rummaged through crafting supplies in the basement to find something we could use.  I came across some orange fabric left over from my attempt to make Darwin the goldfish.  Grace had been obsessed with the cartoon fish and his brother, a blue cat named Gumball. Thank God I saved the leftovers.  We had enough orange to make the goldfish, Karlos,  if we improvised.  Which we did!   In Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat, the family goldfish, Karlos K. Krinklebein is the voice of reason.  In our house,  Patrick is the voice of reason amongst his siblings.  It worked out wonderfully. The orange fish is the perfect choice of characters for Patrick to celebrate Dr. Seuss day at school.
