Privacy is a fundamental human right recognized in the UN Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and in many other international and regional treaties. Privacy underpins human dignity and other key values such as freedom of association and freedom of speech.

  1. When my boys were young, one of my friends told me she didn’t have any locks on her inside doors. I told her she HAD to get one on her bathroom door. Sometimes that was my only break between sanity and going insane. Just a few minutes alone – sometimes just sitting on the floor by the shower for a few minutes – with them banging on he door!
